Ananya Muralidhar

From a young age, dance has been my conduit for self-expression and a means to connect with my cultural roots.

My training spans both Western and Indian dance genres. I honed my skills in Hip-Hop at the esteemed Shiamak Davar Institute for three years and immersed myself in the intricate rhythms and gestures of Kathak, a classical Indian dance form, for over two years.

These foundational experiences opened doors for me, one of the most memorable being a performance at the Times Business Awards, being the only teenager on a talented team of seven dancers.

 

While pursuing my engineering degree, I remained active in the dance community. I became an integral part of the TriNationTroupe, my college's official dance team competing in various competitions at the intercollegiate level. My diverse dance background often placed me in the role of a choreographer, allowing me to share my unique blend of Western and Indian dance aesthetics with my team.
